I'm a regular 18 year old dude who has a lot of time, and I mean a lot. I have no precise goals in life and I've decided to take on this... whatever this is you call it. I'm making a website for the same reasons many of us are: I got sick and tired of the conventional and limiting platforms of social media; I also need a creative outlet; I might also need somewhere to express myself freely (I'll do my best to add warnings to posts if I randomly decide to vent, don't worry)
I'm a man of many hobbies, provided I'm still at a point of life development where I'm figuring out my "passion" or my "spark". Anyways, here goes a list of the hobbies that resonate with me the most as of now.
Videogames are like, my core. I've played videogames since I was 7 and they've always been the best type of content I've learnt from. My favorite genre of games are CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure), where your choices impact the story and their characters. I've been a keen follower of Supermassive games (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Quarry, and now The Casting of Frank Stone). I also LOVE the Outer Wilds game, it warms my heart. I used to like Stardew Valley, as a "cozy game", but I realized the way I play wasn't compatible with it, since it's one of those "endless games", and I don't bode well with those (sadly D:).
I've enjoyed drawing and especially sketching for the longest time in my life. I specialise in character design and dynamic posing. I tend to draw my OCs (Original Characters) and do fanart of whatever I'm fixated on whenever I feel very uninspired.
I enjoy the heck out of building stories for my OCs, I LOVE building scenarios and hope to some day create a piece of media out of them. As far as writing goes, I usually build timelines and plotpoints. If I feel very funky, I even write a "summary" of a scene (by summary I mean I write what happens very roughly without details).
This part is a bit more "complex" per se. I mostly enjoy to listen to music on loop and blurring the line of listening like a maniac. However I also got a small tinge of wanting to make music sometime 'cause it looks fun.
I mainly listen to music, and my favorite part about it is to listen to albums or original soundtracks from movies or shows I enjoy. For example, I LOVE listening to Inside Out 2's full OST just for the emotional climax at the end ("A Mind at Freeze"). The one song I want to listen to just hits harder after listening to the complete piece, rather than plainly listening to the one song alone.
As of making music, I don't do that at all. However, I want sometime to get on with my violin and play some of my favorite songs someday.
Last, but 100% not least, is botany. I LOVE checking out plants and just understanding them.
They are the species that, to my mind, are the most separate life form I know of from humans (structurally). They work differently but still possess features that resemble ours. Also, photosynthesis is such a cool concept haha. Plants are a cool bunch, it's even therapeutic to spend time around them, as far as I know. I wanna understand more of them and how they work.
This one started not long ago and my friends knew about it so they got me this big-ass book on sylvester plants that I LOVE.
